The Physical Interpretations of Relativity Theory Conferenceis an international scientific event that originated in 1988 and was first held at Imperial College in London once every two years, and since 2003 it has been held at Bauman University in Moscow.
The main objectivesof the conference of the PIRT conference are the discussion of modern generalizations of the theory of relativity, its observable consequences; experimental verification of the theory of relativity; methods for registering gravitational waves; effects of relativistic electrodynamics and optics of moving media; as well as astrophysical observations and space experiments.
The Conference Program of the PIRT includes papers dealing with the following major issues:
- Gravitation, cosmology and large-scale structure
- Gravitational waves and experimental tests of the relativity theory
- Relativistic electrodynamics
- High energy astrophysics
- Modern problems of classical and quantum field theory
The participants to discuss the problems of creating a compact source and detector of gravitational waves, projects to study the spectrum of relic cosmic radiation, the influence of the effects of the theory of relativity on the work of global space positioning systems, the use of experimental data in the field of gravimetry for solving high-precision navigation, as well as other promising issues.
Simultaneously with the conference, the work of the International Summer School “International School of Gravity, Cosmology and Astrophysics” is will be organized. The main goals of the school are discussion of modern achievements in the field of the Universe research and acquaintance with the main ideas and research methods in the theory of gravity and cosmology. The organizers and participants are confident that the conference will contribute to raising the level of education, developing and strengthening international scientific relations.
